Acupuncture and TCM

My practice
Hey! I am a registered acupuncturist whose practice is rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural world and a strong connection to natures wisdom. I was drawn to Traditional Chinese Medicine for its core belief that the body has innate ability to heal when in alignment with nature and its laws-a philosophy that closely reflects my own values and approach to care. My treatments are especially supportive for the overworked, overtired, and overstressed-individuals who are ready to shift into a more sustainable way of living. My treatments are gentle, grounded, and collaborative. I prioritize creating a judgement-free space where patients can speak openly about their health concerns. Having personal experience supporting people in their life through chronic pain and mental health challenges, I bring a compassionate and informed perspective to my practice. I understand and humbly continue to learn about the intricate connections between emotional, physical, and spiritual health, which allows me to approach each treatment with awareness of my patients complex needs.
My treatment toolbelt includes:
- TCM acupuncture
- Tung and Tan style acupucture
- Motor and trigger point style needling
- Fire cupping
- Gua Sha
- Cosmetic acupuncture
- Yijing style pulse diagnosis
I especially enjoy supporting patients with:

Does it hurt? what are the needles like?
You may feel a breif pinch on insertion of some needles, but this passes very quickly. Since we are communicating with the nervous system you can expect a few mom-painful sensations like a dull ache, tingle, or awareness. The needles are .16-.30 guage when used on the body, and even smaller on the face. I tend to use .20 guage the most. They are sterile and single use.
What will my first treatment be like?
The length of your intake may vary depending on the depth of your concern, I will ask questions, look at your tongue, and feel your pulse on your wrists. I will leave the room and you will lay on the table, under sheet and blanket. Depending on your appointment type I will begin whichever modality is best for you. Insertion of needles usually only takes 2-5 minutes. Typically, you will rest with the needles in for 25-30 minutes to allow your body time to shift into rest and digest. I will remove the needles after and that will conclude your treatment
What should I do before and after my appointment?
Before- drink and eat during the day, wear comfortable, loose clothing.
After- take it easy, rest. Hydrate and eat nourishing foods.
